“…In contrast, some previous investigations used the Event-Related Rumination Inventory (77), which encompasses both intrusive and deliberate rumination and is recognized as a measure of posttraumatic rumination (24). Brooding and reflection are conceptualized as trait-like thinking styles or personality characteristics (78), whereas intrusive and deliberate rumination are specific to a particular posttraumatic event (64,(79)(80)(81)(82)(83)(84)(85). In the limited studies where these rumination types were examined concurrently, deliberate rumination emerged as the sole unique positive predictor, while brooding was identified as the sole unique negative predictor of posttraumatic growth (12,13,86).…”

“…The majority of adolescent survivors' experience intrusive flashbacks and posttrauma ruminations, also known as event-related ruminations, which result from the shaking of beliefs after excruciating occurrences [2] . Adolescents may experience varying levels of trauma following the earthquake, with one of the most significant elements influencing the intensity being the loss of family members and the damage of homes, which causes a dramatic change in their lives [2,3] . Adolescent trauma survivors are thought to focus more on the negative aspects of traumatic cues as a result of automatic ruminations that reduce an individual's ability to avoid them.…”

“…Because of their rapid appearance, ferocity, and devastation, earthquakes exert unequivocal stress events [2] . Previous studies have demonstrated that posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is frequently linked to earthquakes, which have a significant psychological influence on individuals and hinder their early return to normal activities while prolonging unpleasant emotions [3] .…”
