The research of online price quotation for the automobile parts exchange programme

Abstract: With the lack of virgin materials and the growing concerns for the environment, there has been an ever growing interest in reusing old products. In this paper, an online price quotation model (OPQM) for the 'exchange the new part with the old one' is proposed. The main aim of OPQM is to minimise the exchange price, based on jointly optimising the disassembly and remanufacturing plan for the used part throughout the supply chain. The disassembly and remanufacturing plan problem, however, resembles a combinatori… Show more

“…Researchers have searched for alternatives based on simulations, learning, adaptation and evolution. Though each bird has its own specific direction, all inevitably travel towards the bird with the best location (Li and Rong 2009). They combine useful rules and randomness to iteratively solve many types of problems, especially stochastic search processes, in practical and desirable computational times.…”

“…Therefore, we cannot directly use the existing quantitative methods such as genetic algorithms and particle swarm optimisation (Li and Rong 2009b) to solve these problems. But our TPFD expresses the entire production system, as well as the switching time, logistics synchronisation and bottleneck time of the whole system.…”

“…There are four studies that have defined what disassembly is; however the definitions consider product attributes and put emphasis on hard side only (Aksoy & Gupta 2010;McGovern & Gupta 2007;Li & Rong 2009). On the other hand, the soft side of disassembly, such as factors such as product information (Ferrer & Ketzenberg, 2004;Yi, Park & Lee, 2003), the skills of the employee, human factors (Bley, Reinhart, Seliger, Bernardi & Korne, 2004), product innovativeness (Chiodo & Ijomah, 2012;Santochi, Dini & Failli, 2002) and the experience of the employees (Reveliotis, 2007;Yeh, 2012), are largely overlooked by these definitions.…”
