Abstract:The article deals with the use of calcium antagonists (CA) with a focus on diltiazem for the treatment of hypertension, angina pectoris, and cardiac arrhythmias, for secondary prevention of coronary heart disease, to evaluate their cardiac, angiography, nephroprotective effect, the ability to prevent the development of left ventricular hypertrophy. The problems of tolerability and safety of CA in short and prolonged action.
