“…It was unusual that the risk of SSc-PAH was approximately 5.8 times greater in dcSSc associated with SSc-ILD, though there was no significantly greater risk of SSc-PAH in the presence of dyspnea (p = 0.064). Severe NC changes have been reported to increase the risk of SSc-PAH (36)(37)(38). Similarly, it was found that the risk of PAH was about three times greater with abnormalities in NC.…”

“…So far, NVC has shown its undoubted value for the assessment and treatment of SSc [3]. According to the morphological changes revealed by NVC, 3 types of NVC patterns have been characterized: (1) an early pattern referred to as normal capillaries, with a well preserved capillary network containing only a few giant capillaries; (2) an active pattern revealed as the presence of numerous giant capillaries and hemorrhages, with only a minor decrease in capillary numbers; (3) a late pattern defned by severe loss of capillaries and extensive avascular areas; the capillary region appears disorganized and ramifed and/or bushy capillaries are present [6,7]. Tree patterns of NVC refect the diferent phases of SSc disease.…”

“…Microvascular damage occurs during the early stages of SSc and the ongoing vascular damage causes remodeling and disturbance of the capillary architecture, leading to microcirculation alterations [ 1 4 ]. In addition to the microvascular damage [ 5 ], SSc is associated with the damage of interstitial lung [ 6 ] and bone quality [ 7 ]. Nailfold videocapillaroscopy (NVC) is an effective tool of microcirculation examination, which is included in the 2013 guidelines of American College of Rheumatology (ACR) and European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) for the preliminary classification of SSc [ 2 ].…”

“…Одна ко поскольку со временем присоединились новые симп томы, были диагностированы системная склеродермия и синдром Шегрена. Необходимо отметить, что при системной склеродермии капилляроскопическая картина имеет характерный вид: появляются расширенные капилляры и уменьшается их число [17]. Возможно, «склеродермический» профиль капилляроскопии у нашей паци-ентки имел прогностическое значение в плане эволюции в системную склеродермию.…”
