The Role of Visuospatial Representation to Improve Student’s Conceptual Mastery based on Gender in Learning Human Urinary System

Abstract: Study of this research investigates the role of visuospatial representation using Wimba model to improve student’s conceptual mastery based on gender in learning Human Urinary System. The method used in this research was experimental research with matching pretest-posttest comparison group design. The sample was taken based on gender classes consisting of boys class (n=21) and girls class (n=9) in one of Bilingual School in Bandung. The quantitative data of this research was investigated through the objective … Show more

“…Thus, this learning model better improves in the higher level of the cognitive domain. It proved that the visuospatial representation support student to higher thinking ability as analyzing Experimental N-Gain Control N-Gain (Atikah, 2018;Hadjichambis et al, 2016). The average N-Gain score in the experimental class has the lowest average score on the cognitive aspect of C3 that is applying.…”

“…According to research conducted by the Wimba learning model is a model that can improve students' cognitive learning outcomes on plant anatomy material. This opinion is reinforced by (Atikah et al, 2018) which state that visuospatial representation in Wimba learning is very influential on students' mastery of concepts in immune system learning. As a result, it is envisaged that using the visuospatial-Wimba learning paradigm would impact students' cognitive and psychomotor abilities when creating a learning product.…”
