“…In addition to the physiological multiplicity, this same perspective must be kept in mind for the multiplicity of genes (besides PAPR) which may be involved in weight loss. In addition, it is necessary to investigate other genes (isolated or associated) which have been demonstrated to be involved in obesity such as FTO (Ben Halima et al, 2018), Melanocortin 4 Receptor -MC4R (Resende et al, 2017), Adenovirus 36 (Zhou et al, 2018) and beta 2 adrenoceptor-ADRB2 (Daghestani et al, 2018).…”

“…However, as an important nding in this study, AA genotype was found to be more frequent in females (Table 1). There are some studies in which FTO rs9939609 polymorphism is common in females and/or in women the risk allele was more likely to confer susceptibility to obesity [23][24][25]. This situation is often attributed to the high amount of fat tissue in females physiologically.…”

“…The gene encoding IL-32 protein is located on chromosome 16p13.3 and contains six exons. Several SNPs have been studied in various diseases (5,(11)(12)(13). The polymorphism rs45499297 is located in the promoter region of the IL32 gene, characterized by a change from T to C. However, the association between this polymorphism and BMI, fat percentage, and lipid profile has not been reported.…”
