The Saprophytic Lifestyle of Listeria monocytogenes and Entry Into the Food-Processing Environment

Abstract: Listeria monocytogenes is an environmentally adapted saprophyte that can change into a human and animal bacterial pathogen with zoonotic potential through several regulatory systems.
