Abstract-Information representation plays very important role for services and applications to be more attractive for end user. One design cannot fit varied preferences and be suitable for all users. User driven customization of user interface applied for particular application or service do not influence at overall satisfaction of a user and usability of other applications and services. Therefore, in the paper authors tackle challenges of UI personalization on semantic level; and present a framework for adaptive UI development, driven by personal semantic user profile and mashup of reusable adaptive visualization modules. Considering human as a powerful integrated part of IoT environment, UI adaptation and personalization framework has been extended with automated ontology-based UI creation (Semantic Scanner concept). Presented approach of on-the-fly semantically-driven adaptive UI creation facilitates a process of human integration into machine-oriented infrastructure.

At a time when the amount of information grows exponentially on the Internet, when most people can be connected at all times with powerful personal devices, we need to enhance, adapt and simplify access to information and communication with other people. The vision of ambient intelligence which is a relevant solution, brings many challenges in the domain of contextawareness, adaptive human-system interaction, privacy enforcement and social communications. We believe that ontologies and other semantic technologies can help to meet most of these challenges in a unified manner, as they are a bridge between meaningful (but fuzzy by nature) human knowledge and digital information systems. In this chapter, we review several utilizations of semantic technologies for context management, adaptive human-system interaction, privacy enforcement and social communications in the scope of ubiquitous computing. Based on identified benefits and lacks, we propose several research leads towards the realization of a unified ubiquitous system based on the social web and semantic technologies.

RESUMOEste trabalho tem o objetivo de examinar conceitos e aspectos da Gerência do Conhecimento (GC) que possam contribuir no desenvolvimento de ferramentas mais adaptadas para os desafios atuais da Educação tecnológica (ET). A Gerência do Conhecimento pode ser vista, essencialmente, como uma disciplina que fornece subsídios para o projeto de processos que, ao longo de seus ciclos de vida, se beneficiam da extração formal automática do conhecimento utilizado nos mesmos. A idéia principal é a utilização deste conhecimento como base para um funcionamento otimizado no futuro. Um dos desafios da Educação tecnológica é a dificuldade de atualização dos conteúdos dos vários domínios de treinamento, resultante da rapidez com que as mudanças ocorrem em tudo que depende da tecnologia. A Gerência do conhecimento permite um tratamento formal e consistente de todas as etapas da educação tecnológica, viabilizando o desenvolvimento de ferramentas capazes de explorar o conhecimento adquirido para permitir um processo de adaptação mais flexível e dinâmico. Este artigo examina as formas e tecnologias envolvidas, mostrando sua viabilidade através de uma metodologia que demonstra como utilizar os conceitos relacionados com a GC no contexto da ET. FEASIBILITY STUDY OF APLICATION OF KNOWLEDGEMENT MANAGEMENT TECHNICS IN TECHNOLOGICAL EDUCATION ABSTRACTThis study aims to examine concepts and aspects of the Knowledge Management (KM) which can contribute to development of tools more suited to the current challenges of education technology (ET). The Knowledge Management can be seen primarily as a discipline that provides grants for the design of processes over their life cycles, may benefit from formal automatic extraction of knowledge used in them. The main idea is to use this knowledge as a basis for optimal use in the future. One of the challenges of technological education is the difficulty of updating the content of the various areas of training, resulting from the speed with which changes take place in all that depends on the technology. The Knowledge Management allows a formal and consistent treatment of all stages of education technology, enabling the development of tools able to exploit the knowledge acquired to allow an adjustment process more flexible and dynamic. This article examines the ways and technologies involved, showing its feasibility through a possible methodology that demonstrates how to use the concepts related to KM in the context of ET.
