Kabupaten Tuban merupakan salah satu kabupaten yang memiliki angka stunting tertinggi di Jawa Timur pada tahun 2021 dengan angka tertinggi kasus stunting di salah satu desa mencapai 80%. Jumlah tersebut menunjukkan bahwa penanganan stunting sangat penting untuk dilakukan termasuk di tingkat street level bureaucracy yang merupakan garda terdepan pemerintah. Dalam pelaksanaanya, public trust memiliki peran penting untuk membangun kinerja pemerintah desa. Sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji public trust terhadap penanganan stunting pada tingkat street level bureaucracy di Kabupaten Tuban. Peneliti menggunakan OECD Framework on Drivers of Trust in Public Institutions (2017) sebagai pedoman dalam melakukan penelitian. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di tiga desa dengan urutan kasus stunting tertinggi di Kabupaten Tuban yaitu Desa Brangkal, Desa Sumberejo, dan Desa Kedungrejo. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa public trust terhadap penanganan stunting pada street level bureaucracy di Kabupaten Tuban telah memenuhi keempat dimensi yaitu responsiveness (ketanggapan), reliability (keandalan), integrity (integritas), dan fairness (keadilan). Akan tetapi belum memenuhi dimensi openness (keterbukaan). Rekomendasi yang dapat dilakukan oleh street level bureaucracy di Kabupaten Tuban agar selalu memperbarui dan membagikan informasi publik serta mengembangkan layananlayanan dalam pengendalian stunting yang lebih inovatif agar dapat menurunkan angka stunting di Kabupaten Tuban Kata kunci: Kepercayaan publik; birokrasi level desa; pengkerdilan ABSTRACT Tuban Regency is one of the districts that has the highest stunting rate in East Java in 2022 with the highest number of stunting cases in one village reaching 80%. This number shows that it is very important to handle stunting, including at the street level bureaucracy, which is the government's front guard. In its implementation, public trust has an important role in building village government performance.. This study aims to examine public trust in the handling of stunting at the street level bureaucracy in Tuban Regency. Researchers use the OECD Framework on Drivers of Trust in Public Institutions (2017) as a guide in conducting research. The research method used is a qualitative method. This research was conducted in three villages with the highest order of stunting cases in Tuban Regency, namely Brangkal Village, Sumberejo Village, and Kedungrejo Village. The results show that public trust in handling stunting at the street level bureaucracy in Tuban Regency has fulfilled all four dimensions, namely responsiveness, reliability, integrity, and fairness. However, it has not fulfilled the dimension of openness. Recommendations that can be carried out by the street level bureaucracy in Tuban Regency to always update and share public information and develop more innovative stunting handling services in order to reduce stunting rates in Tuban Regency.
