Purpose of the study: This research aims to determine the relationship between self-concept and self-confidence of students in the Islamic Religious Education Study Program. Methodology: The data collection used was a quantitative approach, which was carried out using a questionnaire method which was distributed to 75 respondents. Then to find out the relationship between variables X and Variable Y, use Product Moment. Main Findings: The results of the research analysis show that there is a positive and significant relationship between self-concept and self-confidence of students in the Islamic Religious Education Study Program, this is proven by the results ro of 0.234 which is consulted with the r table value at a good error level of 1% (0.296) or 5% (0.227) which means ro is greater than or equal to r table. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study highlights the importance of self-concept in building the self-confidence of Islamic Religious Education students, offering new insights for educators to develop more effective teaching strategies.

The Correlation Between Motivation and IELTS Reading Achievement Among Chinese Students

This study investigates the impact of motivational factors on IELTS reading test performance among Chinese learners. It aims to assess the level of motivation, examine its correlation with IELTS reading achievement, and identify the most influential predictor among intrinsic and extrinsic motivations. Using a quantitative research design and a sample of 242 students from 12 IELTS training institutions in southwest China, data were collected via the Motivation in English Reading Questionnaire (MERQ) and Cambridge Practice Tests for IELTS. Results indicate a significant positive correlation between motivation and IELTS reading scores. Multiple regression analysis revealed that intrinsic motivation (efficacy and engagement) is the strongest predictor of reading achievement. These findings highlight the importance of motivation in standardized English proficiency assessments.

Covid-19 is a new type of disease that first attacked the city of Wuhan in China, a virus that has spread from person to person and this virus began to enter Indonesia in early March 2019 which made Indonesia have to lockdown activities outside the home including education because this virus spreads, So that the learning process for all students continues, the Indonesian government enforces the teaching and learning process to be carried out online or commonly called E-learning. In online learning, of course, students need motivation to support the student learning process. Internal motivation and external motivation are very important for the online learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study investigates whether internal motivation and external motivation are very important for students learning online from home, and investigates whether family influences student motivation. In order to study online well during the Covid-19 pandemic, the target of this research is the seventh semester of English students. Educational study program at the Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia. There were 30 students who took part in this research. through distributing link questionnaires to Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia students.
