The Switched Reluctance Electric Machine with Constructive Asymetry

Abstract: Results of researches of forces of a unilateral attraction of a rotor to a stator of switched reluctance electric machines taking into account unevenness of an air gap are given. It is offered for configurations of magnetic systems with weak magnetic communication between the coils making a phase to carry out a supply of coils in parallel or independently from each other for reduction of not compensated forces of a unilateral attraction of a rotor to a stator.

“…However, when the air gap decreases, the radial forces of interaction between the stator and the rotor increase, caused by an increase in the unevenness of the magnetic conductivities between the teeth of the excited phases. To reduce this negative factor, a number of scientists have developed appropriate measures [12][13][14].…”

“…Automated drives based on switched-reluctance motors (SRM) have become an alternative to electric drives with AM for a number of applications both in mechanical engineering and in other areas of industry [1][2][3][4]. Recently, there have been quite a lot of published studies aimed at eliminating the existing shortcomings of electric machines of the switched-reluctance type and improving their energy efficiency [5][6][7][8][9][10].…”

“…In addition, look-up tables do not take into account the differences in the characteristics of the phases which may arise as a result of the inaccuracies during SRM manufacturing process [4]. Methods based on the use of markers are generally limited to the rotation frequency or excitation current control.…”
