Abstract:An efficient methodology for the synthesis of S-substituted derivatives of phosphonohomocysteine has been developed. It starts from the corresponding thiols and is based on a synthetic sequence consisting of (i) the Kabachnik-Fields reaction, (ii) the transesterification of the diphenylphosphoryl moiety and (iii) the acidic deprotection of the phosphoryl and amino groups. The proposed synthetic procedures describing syntheses of phosphonohomocysteine precursors with di-tert-butylphosphoryl and tert-butyloxycar… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
