The rapid advancements in technology have brought about various changes in the field of education, compelling teachers to adopt a social media approach for integrated teaching and learning. Among the various skills, writing is often considered the most challenging. Writing skills pose a significant barrier for second language users, primarily because the influence of their mother tongue is dominant. Consequently, social media is full of awkward sentences due to learners not having acquired proficient writing skills. The use of blogs, provides a superior learning experience for students, facilitating easy improvement in writing skills. Therefore, this systematic literature review specifically concentrated on the use of blogs in enhancing students' writing skills and it aims to address the impact of blogs on writing skills. Additionally, the review provided a comprehensive understanding of how blogs impact broader aspects of writing, such as social interaction, collaboration, self-directed learning, peer feedback, and motivation levels, in addition to concentrating on particular areas like content, organization, grammar, and vocabulary. This review was conducted based on the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) review technique to ensure that it was done transparent, methodical, and highly methodologically rigorous. A total of 25 articles related to the impact of Blogs on teaching writing skills published between 2019 to 2023 were identified from Scopus, ERIC, and Google Scholar databases. Based on the analysis, it was discovered that blogs had a significant impact on students' writing skills, particularly in content, organization, grammar, and vocabulary Furthermore, aside from enhancing these linguistic aspects, blogs also demonstrated a positive impact on various other dimensions, such as social interaction, collaboration, selfdirected learning, peer feedback, and an increase in motivation levels. Overall, this review offered insightful information to educators, policymakers, and students who want to use blogs for self-directed learning and improve writing skills at all educational levels. For future research, it is recommended to explore specific blogging strategies or approaches that are most effective in improving writing skills, as well as to investigate the challenges and limitations associated with using blogs for writing enhancement.

This study aims to know the extent of students' perceptions of the importance of ideas in writing a film screenplay. The research approach uses a qualitative descriptive method. Data were collected through observation and questionnaires. The participants are fifth-semester students, as many as 42 people in the audio-visual class. The data were analyzed through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The results of data analysis found that most of the students, or 87.3%, students knew what ideas were in writing film scenarios. In addition, it was also found that ideas related to family are a concept that is considered by students as the easiest notion to write into scenarios. This is due to the proximity to the source of thought in writing. Meanwhile, the concept of tradition and traditional arts is an idea that is considered the most difficult for them to write because students lack experience and information related to tradition and art. The results of this study serve as a guide for teachers in developing students' ability to write film screenplays.

The purpose of this research was to find out the effectiveness of YouTube as an electronic learning resource in English writing learning. An exploratory mixed method was used in this study. Research instruments included tests, observations and questionnaires. The participants in this study were all third-semester English majors at Bina Sarana Informatika University in Jakarta. The participants were 100 students that were taken randomly. The researcher collected the data from September until December 2021. The result of the English essay writing test was analyzed by using a t-test. The observation was be done during the learning process and the questionnaire used to get students' input about the effectiveness of YouTube as an e-resource. The results of the study concluded that YouTube as an e-resource has a positive impact on the ability to write English essays. The test results before and after implementing YouTube as an e-resource were t-stat (8.76) t-table (2.022), which means Ho was rejected and H1 was accepted. While the Pearson correlation was 0.732. Students also gave a positive view of the use of YouTube during essay writing activities. This can be seen in the average value which was dominated by strongly agreed answers. This study concluded that learning resources for writing should be presented as learning resources that involve audio-visual and interesting so that story ideas can be developed.
