Disadvantaged communities typically contend with a number of these environmental stressors in addition to other social and economic sustainability-related health issues, including limited physical activity, diabetes, obesity, unhealthy food choices and options, poor access to health care services, asthma, issues related to hygiene, and lack of dental and eye care facilities (Alfonso, Jackson, Jackson, Hardy, & Gupta, 2015).
