Theoretical and Practical Aspects of the Middle School

Abstract: "I go into one school district and the middle school is the fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, and ninth grades. In the next district it is the fifth, sixth, and seventh grades. I was in one district dedicating a middle school that con tained the sixth, seventh, and eighth grades. I guess you can make the middle school about whatever you want to make it."1
