Abstract:A Schiff bases is a nitrogeneous analogue of an aldehydes or may be ketones whose (CO) carbonyl groups has been replace by an imines group or azomethine group. It is sometimes referred to as an imines or an azomethines group. -C=N- group-containing compounds with the imine prefix.
