Green Synthesis or Green Chemistry of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) has many advantages, one of which is fast, easy, and cheap. AgNPs have many benefits in the health sector. AgNPs are of great interest in the field of nanoparticle development because they have good biomedical and anti-bacterial activities. Bioreductors play an important role in reducing the size of AgNPs, in this study a natural bioreductor in the form of Kiwi extract (Actinida deliciosa) was used. Purpose of the study the objective of this research was the biosynthesis of AgNPs using a kiwifruit extract bioreductor. Research methods with extraction of Kiwi, synthesis of AgNPs using Kiwi extract, characterization of AgNPs formed using UV-Visible spectroscopy (UV-Vis), Fourier-transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), and Particle Size Analyzer (PSA). Research Results that AgNP formation was confirmed by optical performance using UV-VIS spectroscopy and showed an AgNP peak at 415 nm. The C-H, C-N, and C=O groups in Actinidia deliciosa were confirmed by FTIR. The size of the AgNPs was studied using PSA and a size of 65.01 nm was obtained.Abstrak: Sintesis Hijau atau Kimia Hijau nanopartikel perak (AgNPs) memiliki banyak keuntungan, salah satunya cepat, mudah, dan murah. AgNPs memiliki banyak manfaat dalam bidang kesehatan. AgNPs menjadi perhatian besar dalam bidang pengembangan nanopartikel karena memiliki aktivitas biomedis dan anti bakteri yang baik. Bioreduktor memegang peran penting dalam mereduksi ukuran AgNPs, dalam penelitian ini digunakan bioreduktor alami berupa ekstrak Kiwi (Actinida deliciosa). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah biosintesis AgNPs menggunakan bioreduktor ekstrak buah Kiwi. Metode penelitian dengan esktraksi Kiwi, sintesis AgNPs menggunakan ekstrak Kiwi, karakterisasi AgNPs yang terbentuk menggunakan instrumen spektroskopi UV-Visible (UV-Vis), Fourier-transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), dan Particle Size Analyzer (PSA). Hasil Penelitian bahwa pembentukan AgNPs dikonfirmasi oleh kinerja optik menggunakan spektroskopi UV-VIS dan menunjukkan puncak AgNP pada 415 nm. Gugus C-H, C-N, dan C=O pada Actinidia deliciosa dikonfirmasi oleh FTIR. Ukuran AgNPs dipelajari menggunakan PSA dan diperoleh ukuran 65,01 nm.

India is blessed with an extensive variety of plants, trees, shrubs, and herbs that are utilized in the traditional Indian medical system and have been reported to have excellent therapeutic effects in treating ailments. Historically, medicinal plants have been a primary source of compounds used in medicine to treat illnesses. In the indigenous medical system, Terminalia arjuna and Crocus sativusare the most beneficial and well-recognized medicinal plants for treating a wide range of serious illnesses. The goal of this study is thedevelopment of comparative chromatographic profiles ofAyurvedic tea formulation and its major ingredients for identification, and quantitative estimation of concerned PRS/Markers using HPTLC and HPLC. In this study, we have done HPTLC Fingerprint profiling of Ayurvedic tea formulation, Terminalia arjuna, Crocus sativus, Ellagic acid and Safranal.Safranal and Ellagic acid reference standards were visible in test solution of Crocus sativus extract, Terminalia arjuna and Ayurvedic tea formulation respectively and found comparable under UV light and after derivatization with derivatizing reagent. The quantification of Terminalia arjuna and Crocus sativus in formulation was done through HPLC. The quantitative evaluation of Safranal present in Ayurvedic tea formulation and Crocus sativus was 0.0330% and 0.1041% respectively. The quantitative evaluation of Ellagic acid present in Terminalia arjuna,stem bark and Ayurvedic tea formulation was 0.2814% and 0.1293% respectively.

The Middle Atlas is a Moroccan territory that serves as an abode to plants with incredible biodiversity, of which aromatic and medicinal plants that have been of folkloric use are a significant component. However, their effective utilization in modern medicine requires the characterization of their phytochemicals to facilitate their entry into drug discovery pipelines. Hence, this study aimed to characterize and investigate the antioxidant activity and antimicrobial effects of the essential oils (EOs) of Salvia lavandulifolia subsp. mesatlantica and Salvia officinalis L. by use of in vitro and in silico assays. Ten phytochemicals were identified in the EOs of S. lavandulifolia, while twenty phytochemicals were identified in S. officinalis. Camphor was the most abundant compound in both species, comprising 26.70% and 39.24% of the EOs of S. lavandulifolia and S. officinalis, respectively. The EOs of both plants exhibited significant DPPH free radical scavenging activity, with S. lavandulifolia and S. officinalis showing estimated scavenging rates of 92.97% and 75.20%, respectively. In terms of Ferric Reducing Antioxidant Power (FRAP), S. officinalis demonstrated a higher value (72.08%) compared to that of S. lavandulifolia (64.61%). Evaluation of the antimicrobial effects of the EOs of S. officinalis and S. lavandulifolia against microorganisms revealed bactericidal activities against Proteus mirabilis and Bacillus subtilis at low concentrations. It showed bactericidal activities against Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans at a relatively higher concentration. Molecular docking of antioxidant and antimicrobial proteins offers significant insights into ligand–protein interactions, facilitating the development of innovative therapeutics from the current study. Ultimately, this study identified the phytochemical composition of S. lavandulifolia and S. officinalis and highlighted their potential for therapeutic discovery.
