“…Oxytetracycline and tetracycline are probably the most effective remedies, though the results are not as good as those first described. Harkness (1953) gave 500 mg. of oxytetracycline 6-hourly for four days, but Clarke et al (1955) and Merlin and Clarke (1956) obtained good results with tetracycline by mouth in dosage of 250 mg. four times daily for five days. Gartman and Leibovitz (1955) who had experience of a large number of cases, found that in three out of five cases the symptoms and signs subsided spontaneously within eight weeks.…”
