Three-Dimensional Force Sensor Based on Fiber Bragg Grating for Medical Puncture Robot

Abstract: In medical puncture robots, visible light, infrared and ultrasound images are currently used to guide punctures. The lack of information about the interaction forces between the puncture needle and soft tissue in different directions during the puncture process can easily lead to soft tissue being damaged. The current three-dimensional force sensors are large and can only be mounted on the base of the puncture needle, which does not allow for easy integration. Moreover, the force transfer to the base introduce… Show more

“…At the same time, the structure and size of the fiber Bragg grating are large, and there are few sliding tactile sensors that can be actually applied to robot fingers. In the electrical tactile sensor, Xu Decheng, Xin Yi, Huang Ying and other researchers designed a convex sensor with high sensitivity [9][10][11]; however, few people have designed bumps in optically slidingpery tactile sensors, and it is difficult to accurately capture sliding signals by using the plane.…”

“…On the other hand, many farmers, in order to reduce the operating cost of machinery and the damage of agricultural machinery to farmland, often choose compound multifunction machinery, which leads to a huge increase in the entire operating unit shape, increase in weight, structural asymmetry, and a greater imbalance of inertia force. Therefore, the tractor working load has the characteristics of continuity and uncertainty, which increases the difficulty of testing it [11][12][13].…”
