Thrips Control/Variety Test In Cotton With Payload, 1995

Abstract

Cotton was planted on 17 Mayat the James Ray farm in Lonoke County. Treatments were applied with Gandy boxes and consisted of either Ridomil PC + Payload or Ridomil PC + no Payload. Plots were 6 rows (38 inch centers) X 50 ft arranged in a RCBD with 4 replicationsEvaluations were made 1, 8, and 15 Jun. Thrips were counted by removing 5 plants/plot, washing the plants through a series of sieves and counting the thrips trapped by the last sieve. The center two rows ofeach plot were harvested on 3 Nov using a John Deere 2row picker.
