This study aimed to analyze the moderating effect of sleep quality and the moderated moderation effect of education level on the relationship between depression and suicidal ideations among middle-aged parents of adolescent children. This is a secondary analysis of a survey collected from a cross-sectional study. The inclusion criteria were middle-aged parents of adolescent children in D city, South Korea, who answered the survey questionnaires. A total of 178 completed questionnaires were used for the analysis. The moderating effect of sleep quality (B = −0.03, p = 0.736) and education level (B = −1.80, p = 0.029) on the relationship between depression and suicidal ideations was shown. It was confirmed that the moderating effect of sleep quality on the effect of depression on suicidal ideations differed according to the subject’s education level. The findings have implications for mental healthcare providers who can be educated on sleep hygiene based on the subject’s education level.

The pandemic context determined by the COVID-19 virus, continued by various forms of virus mutation, has had a significant impact, at a global level, at different levels: economic, social, and of course at an individual state. Thru this paper we want to present our findings during working with students at the Career Counseling and Psychological Guidance Center, University of Pitesti. During the pandemic times, the students were learning in an on-line system that seemed to determine various acting results, and different manifestations, at a psychological and even at a behavioral level. Psychologists from the Career Counseling and Psychological Guidance Center, University of Pitesti, assured the specialized support by organizing special webinars, individual and group-work sessions, and various presentation of the scientific data, meant to provide a significant support context for those who were in need, affected by the pandemic or, to be more precise, by its effects at a social and individual level. This paper pinpoints the variables that seemed to determine the influences on perceived negative effects relating to the pandemic context, at students. In this paper, the link between attachment theory and Erikson's theory on psychosocial development, is also discussed.

Healthy ageing is becoming a demand rather than a privilege from personal to societal perspective. One of the inevitable components of healthy ageing is wellbeing which is dependent on the quality of the consciousness. Mindfulness nurtures consciousness leading to behaviour regulation and well-being. Generativity is an attribute which connects individual to the society and predicts well-being significantly. The primary objective of the research was to find the relationship between mindfulness, generativity and subjective well-being among the older adults. Whether pursuing hobbies and social engagements affect the mindfulness, generativity and subjective well-being of olds was also investigated. With the help of standardized questionnaires the data was collected from 205 willing male and female older adults between 60 and 70 years from selected areas of Mumbai and Pune Metropolitan Region. Independent sample t tests and regression analysis were used to test the hypotheses. The results revealed significant effect of pursuing hobbies and social engagement in mindfulness, generativity and subjective well-being of older adults from their counterparts. Mindfulness was found to be a significant predictor of generativity and wellbeing of older adults. Mindfulness and generativity together significantly predicted the subjective wellbeing although generativity did not individually contribute significant variance in the subjective wellbeing. The implications of the research are discussed in the context of enhancing subjective well-being in the older adults by mindfulness training and promoting activities to pursue hobbies and social engagement which would help them for healthy ageing.
