“…In our study group, the age was in the range of 22-48 years, and the duration of infertility was > 2 years. This is similar to the findings of Batra et al [11], Rammou-Kinia et al [12], Düşmez et al [13], Kurien et al [14], and Agarwal et al [15], who all found the age group of 20-50 years to be the most commonly involved. The reason for this could be the settling of couples into family life in this period.…”

“…A touch imprint technique has been described as an adjunct of testicular biopsy for the immediate interpretation of testicular cytological findings (Abdelmoneim et al, 2004). Moreover, it has been established that testicular cytology (using either TFNA or imprints) can be more precised than histologic surgical biopsy to assess the spermatogenic status of the testis (Düsmez et al, 2001;Amin et al, 2006). Percentages from spermatogonia to late spermatids were increased showing a normal evolution of the spermatogenic process in both smears.…”

“…Of all cytological techniques imprint cytology is the closest to pathology and has been found to be useful, quick, reliable and popular in the diagnosis of solid tumours 7–12 . In the upper respiratory tract, imprint cytology has been used only for the investigation of some aspects of Reinke's oedema 13 .…”

“…[3][4][5][6] Of all cytological techniques imprint cytology is the closest to pathology and has been found to be useful, quick, reliable and popular in the diagnosis of solid tumours. [7][8][9][10][11][12] In the upper respiratory tract, imprint cytology has been used only for the investigation of some aspects of Reinke's oedema. 13 We introduced touch imprint cytology to test its reliability and accuracy in preoperative management in patients with pharyngeal and laryngeal tumours, as well as the possible application of this method in diagnosis during operation.…”
