This article attempts to provide an insight into the experiences of drug addicts at a rehabilitation center, run by the provincial Social Welfare Department in Lahore, Pakistan, through a qualitative approach. The menace of drugs is increasing worldwide, including Pakistan. Effective treatment and rehabilitative services can lower the prevalence rate of drug addiction. The aim of this research was to understand/explore the experiences of research participants about the phenomenon of drug addiction and rehabilitation services provided in the field of social welfare. This research extends the current knowledge of individuals’ drug addiction by revealing the complexities and intricacies of this behavior.

The paper presents the diagnostics of the state of formation of personal and professional qualities of future social workers being able to carry out street social work. While undergoing the study, it has been found that the professional readiness of street social work specialists involves the formation of such a level of professional skills and competence of future social workers that will allow them to perform the various functions of street social work successfully. Interpersonal interaction with clients of street social work provides for the presence of such specialists' traits as: empathy, compromise and speed of thinking, diplomacy in relations with others, optimism in perception of reality, communicativeness, sociability, high mental capacity, comprehensiveness of interests, mood stability, independence, initiative and business orientation in professional activity. To study the state of formation of the listed qualities of future social workers, we conducted a diagnostic study among students of second-fifth years-of-study of specialty "Social work" of Khmelnitsky National University. Diagnostic results show that the majority of future social workers, while studying in higher educational institution, have sufficiently low indicators of formation of both personal and professional qualities. They are diagnosed with low levels of business orientation and professional motivation for street social work, as well as low level of manifestation of diplomacy, pessimism in the perception of reality, rigid thinking, low mental capacity, changeability of interests, multilevel of mood, dependency, lack of initiative. Therefore, we propose to develop and introduce psychologicalpedagogical and social-pedagogical conditions (for the formation of future social workers' professional readiness for street social work) into the educational process.

Communicative interaction implementation is one of the leading social worker’s functions, formed in the process of education. A social worker is a specialist whose task is to identify social risks and respond to emergencies in a qualified manner. The aim of the article is to analyze the conditions and results of the future social workers’ formation of communicative readiness to manage social risks and respond quickly to emergencies at airports; to test the validity of the hypothesis based on certain criteria. According to the results of the survey, there were identified three groups of students with signs of formation: stimulating motives for mastering communicative competence; communicative competence; communicative readiness for professional situation management. During the teachers’ survey the main factors of students’ communicative readiness formation are revealed as follows: practical activity, students’ activity, their desire to qualitative professional characteristics acquisition and self-educational activity of youth. The disciplines of the educational program selective component of the general training cycle (100%) and the vocational training cycle (78.3%), as well as manufacturing practice (94.5%) are endowed with potential opportunities. The main conditions for ensuring the quality of communicative readiness formation process: 1) the development of attitude to the professional communication as a means of professional activity; 2) subject-subject interaction design and implementation in the educational process; 3) socio-psychological support of the professional readiness communicative component formation and the self-education throughout life implementation.
