The purpose of work – development of practical recommendations for modernization of hydraulic cylinders, widely used in irrigation and drainage and other agricultural equipment design created at the invention level (RU2702205) and the calculations to substantiate its basic geometric parameters. Research methods – to achieve the goal, a modern method of calculating the forces created by the magnetic fields of permanent magnets used in sealing devices of hydraulic cylinder rods was used; practical recommendations are given on the need to use such devices in practice. Research results and novelty – research results are recommended by both domestic and foreign research institutes, design and production structures of agricultural engineering for further study, refinement and its possible practical implementation. Conclusions – analyzing the proposed directions for the modernization of sealing devices of hydraulic cylinder rods, it can be concluded that the developed technical solution allows to increase the operational reliability of hydraulic equipment not only for irrigation and drainage, but also for other purpose of agricultural machinery.

In recent years, Digital Twin (DT) has gained significant interest from academia and industry due to the advanced in information technology, communication systems, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud Computing (CC), and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). The main concept of the DT is to provide a comprehensive tangible, and operational explanation of any element, asset, or system. However, it is an extremely dynamic taxonomy developing in complexity during the life cycle that produces a massive amount of engendered data and information. Likewise, with the development of AI, digital twins can be redefined and could be a crucial approach to aid the Internet of Things (IoT)-based DT applications for transferring the data and value onto the Internet with better decision-making. Therefore, this paper introduces an efficient DT-based fault diagnosis model based on machine learning (ML) tools. In this framework, the DT model of the machine is constructed by creating the simulation model. In the proposed framework, the Genetic algorithm (GA) is used for the optimization task to improve the classification accuracy. Furthermore, we evaluate the proposed fault diagnosis framework using performance metrics such as precision, accuracy, F-measure, and recall. The proposed framework is comprehensively examined using the triplex pump fault diagnosis. The experimental results demonstrated that the hybrid GA-ML method gives outstanding results compared to ML methods like Logistic Regression (LR), Naïve Bayes (NB), and Support Vector Machine (SVM). The suggested framework achieves the highest accuracy of 95% for the employed hybrid GA-SVM. The proposed framework will effectively help industrial operators make an appropriate decision concerning the fault analysis for IIoT applications in the context of Industry 4.0.

The research in this paper aimed to show the importance of axial alignment on the example of maintaining a technical system. In this paper, the importance of alignment is examined on industrial fans. The technical system on which the alignment was performed reached the anticipated bearing life of 23,650 operating hours prescribed by the manufacturer, while the technical system on which the alignment was not performed was exposed to excessive load by a misalignment shaft. As a result, it did not meet the expected technical expectations, and it canceled at 5,400 hours of work. Research has shown that the application of alignment can increase the service life of bearings by 4.38 times on axles on which no alignment has been performed. Implementation of modern maintenance concepts, using appropriate methods of technical diagnostics aim to optimize the operation of industrial systems for a short period of time and with as few downtimes as possible. The authors of the paper presented the method of laser alignment in order to bring the industrial fan system into optimal operation. In addition to laser alignment, the condition of the system was checked by vibro diagnostics, before and after access by laser method. The paper presents all measurements performed with vibration analysis devices as well as a visual display of the state of the system during the laser alignment check of an industrial fan. Misalignment leads to incorrect operation, which in the case of electric motors and fans is most often reflected in damage in the form of distortion of the shaft or damage to the bearings.
