Purpose- The paper aims to examine the moderating effect of CEO personal values on the relationship between the organizational learning process and sustainability performance.Design/Methodology-An explanatory cross-sectional design was used to obtain quantitative data from the managerial staff of 256 medium and large manufacturing firms in Uganda. A survey instrument was used to collect data.Findings-Organizational learning process and the CEO's personal values have a significant positive direct effect on sustainability performance. Further, the CEO's personal values significantly moderate the relationship between the organizational learning process and sustainability performance.Practical Implications- Strategies such as training, teamwork, consultancy engagements, and research facilitate learning processes of knowledge acquisition, sharing, interpretation, and storage which in turn improve sustainability performance. In addition, firms that hire CEOs whose personal value system is inclined towards change and self-transcendence are more likely to foster a culture of continuous organizational learning which improves sustainability performance

Enterprise green innovation behavior is necessary for the transformation of enterprises and the enhancement of green development. However, the inconsistency of existing studies on the behavioral mechanism has not been effectively addressed. The purpose of this paper is to reveal a mechanism for enterprise green innovation behavior, taking the coevolutionary theory. Based on the coevolution theory model, this study screened 16 high-quality studies covering 11 countries and regions with 5471 independent samples from six major databases (Web of Science Core Collection (SCIE & SSCI), Science Direct, Springer Link, Wiley, Taylor & Francis, and Sage journals). The included literature was coded and tested. Meta-analysis was used to clarify the direction and intensity of the behavioral antecedent and outcome variables to explore the mechanism of enterprise green innovation behavior. Furthermore, this study also explores the moderating effect of regional heterogeneity on behavior. The results are as follows: (1) The economic, political, social, and technological environments significantly and positively influence enterprise green innovation behavior. (2) Enterprises’ green innovation behavior significantly and positively influences environmental performance. (3) Regional heterogeneity can moderate the effects of enterprise green innovation behavior and antecedent and consequence variables. Then, this study proposes countermeasures based on government and enterprise perspectives. This study provides both theoretical and empirical referents for enterprises to better adopt green innovation behaviors and enhance their green development.

Innovation is a critical instrument for achieving the SDGs, playing a key role in promoting a sustainable society. In this context, technology and innovation could simultaneously integrate the three dimensions of sustainable development: economic, social and environmental. The present paper explores the impact of innovation from the perspective of R&D on these three pillars, pointing out its role for economic progress, social advancements and environmental conditions, in the case of the European Union countries. The paper starts with qualitative research of the latest specialized literature regarding the SDGs and their relation with technology and innovations, highlighting important outcomes brought by innovation on economy, society and environment. The research continues with a quantitative analysis conducted on the basis of a correlation model along with three regression analyzes that aim to capture the influence of the level of R&D on the sustainability pillars. Thus, this paper affirms and strengthens the catalytic role of innovation for sustainable development. The added value of the paper is brought by the contribution to studies on the situation of EU states in terms of R&D and their potential to achieve the SDGs. Findings from regression analyzes can provide valuable information for parties involved in public policy or private companies. This information could be a starting point for a better allocation of resources towards the innovation area, but also for the formulation of integrated strategies in the R&D sector.
