Voting is an essential tool for any democratic government. It is the most important factor that makes the government for the people, by the people. It is surprising that many countries in the world haven't moved on from traditional paper ballot system of voting. There are some countries that have taken a forward step by using Electronic voting ma-chines. As simple as it may sound, there are a lot of issues with these systems. Between having to physically go to the venues and standing in long queue at the polling station to counting the vote by hand the entire process is time consuming at the same time expensive. Malicious actors have many avenues to influence paper ballot based elections using intimidation at the polling booth by capturing the ballot box or stuffing the box by fake votes. Similarly, in Electronic voting machines, a highly motivated group can get hold of the machine and change the chip so whichever button is pressed, all the votes go to one political party. Another issue is it whether it is impossible to keep track of the votes. How can we be sure that our vote was counted or perhaps in case of ballot paper, not thrown away? The present article discusses ways of bringing voting systems into the 21st century by using the Blockchain Technology.

Electronic voting machines have replaced paper ballot systems, which were being used in early Indian elections. But, with the advancement of technology, a series of security issues have been raised regarding the present voting system, such as EVM tamp ering in order to register fraudulent votes. The proposed system attempts to solve the problem of bogus voting by introdu cing a multi-modal biometric authentication system. It makes the voting system more secure by using data encryption and firewalls to protect the voter database. It increases accessibility by allowing voters to cast their vote in the elections of their respective constituency from any polling booth across the country. It also increases transparency in the election process by notifying voters on successful ca sting of their vote. This paper proposes a Biometric Voting Machine with a robust system architecture that is able to withstand malicious attacks and fraudulent behaviours.

Over the past few years, we have seen the emergence of a wide range of banking architectures, technologies, and applications made possible by the significant improvements in hardware, software, and networking technologies. Nowadays, innovative solutions are being developed by banks to leverage the benefits of blockchain, to improve their business agility and performance, and to make their business operations more efficient and secure. However, there are still cases where regular access to Internet is impossible or unreliable due to saturated networks or harsh environments, hence limiting the deployment of typical blockchain based solutions. In this context, an approach using a new connectivity technology is needed in order to increase mobile Internet services for any device to reach nearly 95% of the world population, instantly, simply by drawing on existing mobile phone networks, with no additional infrastructure development. We aim to give the user full bank access from their device, even if the device is not a smart one, using ordinary mobile phone networks. However, providing efficient and secure communications over lossy and low bandwidth networks remains a challenge. The main objective of this paper will be to design an end-to-end and low overhead secure solution for the communications between mobile devices and their corresponding remote application servers that using blockchain via ordinary mobile networks.
