Towards ‘Smart’ Government: The Andhra Pradesh Experience

Abstract: With inspiration from world leaders.and aspirations in e-governance of Andhra Pradesh's present Chief Minister as the backdrop, the author discusses the 8-point approach prescribed by John P. Kotter for success in grainful utilization of IT in e-governance, followed by a delineation on two indispensable components of e-governance, i.e., automation of administrative processes and creation or strengthening of institutional infrastmcture.
