Trace determination of five triazole fungicide residues in traditional Chinese medicine samples by dispersive solid‐phase extraction combined with ultrasound‐assisted dispersive liquid–liquid microextraction and UHPLC–MS/MS

Abstract: A novel and reliable method for determination of five triazole fungicide residues (triadimenol, tebuconazole, diniconazole, flutriafol, and hexaconazol) in traditional Chinese medicine samples was developed using dispersive solid-phase extraction combined with ultrasound-assisted dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction before ultra-high performance liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry. The clean up of the extract was conducted using dispersive solid-phase extraction by directly adding sorbents … Show more

“…Zeng et al employed UHPLC-triple quadrupole-MS/MS to determine 20 major constituents including salvianolic acids, tanshinones, flavonoids and triterpenes in different parts of Salvia miltiorrhiza [ 52 ]. Furthermore, other than active components determination, LC–MS has also been applied in analysis of toxins such as pesticide residue [ 53 , 54 ] and mycotoxins [ 55 57 ]. In ChP, LC–MS has been used for the test of adonifoline, a toxic alkaloid in Senecionis Scandentis Herba.…”

“…Recently, several analytical methods have emerged as the promising techniques to detect nitrogen‐containing heterocyclic fungicides, including HPLC , LC–MS/MS , GC , and GC–MS . However, these detection methods suffer greatly from matrix interferences within the complex sample matrix, often resulting in false positives .…”

“…In QuEChERS method, the crude extract is cleaned up by a simple technique dispersive solid‐phase extraction (d‐SPE) . The sorbent materials such as primary secondary amine (PSA), C18, graphitized carbon black, florisil, and multi‐walled carbon nanotubes, can effectively remove interference from the extract before analysis . Although QuEChERS with advantages of being simple and easy to operation, lack of enrichment procedure of the target analytes has resulted in a high detection limit .…”
