Traceable Pedagogical Design Rationales for Personalized Learning Technologies

Abstract: Although a large number of e-learning systems for individual learning support exist today, many of them still deal with pedagogical issues in an isolated way. In contrast, intertwining interactive system features with educational concepts allows pedagogical designs that may be considered according to their educational rationale. However, pedagogical approaches also do not provide requirements for technologies; they rather consider tools and features as predefined design parameters. Taking an interoperability p… Show more

“…With respect to next steps, features seem to become common design and implementation entities (Stary et al, 2015) referring to micro-services that support the composition of complex systems. Federating systems (Weichhart & Stary, 2014; allows resolving structural and behavioural dependencies at runtime. Both set the stage for future research when integrating pedagogic approaches into learning support systems.…”

“…The authors make an attempt to understand the idea and specifics of the e-government first. [7], X. Wang [8], A. Hariharasudan, S. Kot [9] and others. Given the complexity of the scientific problem, it was decided to conduct an expert survey on theoretical and methodological definitions and processes that described the formation of the e-government in Russia.…”

“…Since this case requires some insights into the domain of digital learning support, we will briefly provide the rationale for the addressed work practices and knowledge representation concept. Details on this case can be found in in the works by Auinger et al (2007), Neubauer et al (2011), Oppl and Stary (2009, Christian Stary (2016), Christian Stary et al (2015), Weichhart (2014b), and Weichhart and Stary (2014).…”
