Abstract:The objective of this study was to clarify whether pre-exposure to hypoxia influences neuronal death following transient cerebral ischaemia. Twenty gerbils were exposed to 10% oxygen in a chamber for 3 weeks. The other control gerbils (n = 20) were fed in normoxia for 3 weeks.
