Food allergy (FA), a common allergic disease in childhood, is the hypersensitive response by the immune system to proteins in food that can affect respiratory and cardiovascular systems, the gastrointestinal tract and the skin simultaneously and with a variety of severity (Pyrhönen et al., 2015).
