According to data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration, there are a total of 8 zones in the United States that have been identified as having tight oil potential, including the Bakun (including the Srifox Formation), Eagle Beach, Naiebral, Marcellus, and Utica. Among them, Bakun, Yingtan, and the Permian Basin have the greatest potential for tight oil resources and are currently the most active areas for tight oil exploration and development in the United States, with the largest production and growth rate of tight oil.
