Transverse-flux linear switched reluctance motor for semi-magnetic suspending rail vehicle

Abstract: In this paper, a transverse-flux linear switched reluctance motor (TFLSRM) based traction system for semi magnetic suspending urban rail transit vehicle, is proposed. An analysis over the TFLSRM structure and operation principle is presented. The mathematical model of the thrust and normal forces is defined, and determined to be suitable for equal or unequal pole width of stator and rotor.
