“…The lack of significant statistical differences between groups in the clinical secondary outcomes (Pruritus Severity Scale; Pain Severity Score; Aural temperature) helps demonstrate that LIG can have at least an equivalent clinical effect to the standard of care chosen. These results are very encouraging and well in line with the previous results reported with FB systems in humans suffering from diseases of QW group receiving LIG once weekly, BW group receiving LIG twice weekly, C group receiving standard of care twice daily, sd standard deviation, T 0 first evaluation time, T 5 sixth (last) evaluation time the skin, capable of accelerating healing, with reduced pain, and minimizing the clinical signs of bacterial colonization [22,29,32,[46][47][48][49][50]. Poly-microbial colonization often occurs in otitis externa and the continuum between mild-moderate colonization and the beginning of infection are blurred [51][52][53].…”

“…11 The ability to effectively and efficiently target SL with fewer laser sessions and lower fluencies to reduce the risk of side effects is most favorable. The Kleresca ® biophotonic platform which generates FLE to induce a novel form of photobiomodulation (PBM) is used clinically to treat an array of inflammatory skin conditions, including acne and rosacea, 10,[12][13][14][15][16][17] as well as rejuvenating the skin. 18 Due to its anti-inflammatory and healing properties, Kleresca ® is often used before, to prepare the skin, and after more invasive treatments, supporting a balanced healing response.…”

“…FLE is a noninvasive therapy that represents a novel induction of PBM with proven clinical efficacy in treating a range of inflammatory skin conditions . FLE decreases inflammation and the associated lesions in acne vulgaris, decreases the inflammatory erythematous reaction of rosacea subtypes 1, 2 and 3 and more recently, it has proven to be effective where other treatment efforts have failed; for example, in erlotinib‐induced acneiform eruptions and the difficult to treat granulomatous rosacea . PBM‐inducing devices are known to have antibacterial and anti‐inflammatory effects .…”
