“…Alaa et al (Mohamed et al , 2015) examined the effect of adding CNTs in the tribological properties of lithium grease, the result shows that the optimal percentage of CNTs is 1 per cent, which the wear scar diameter decrease about 63 per cent, and the friction reduction decrease about 81.5 per cent. Bahaa et al (Kamel et al , 2017b) enhanced the tribological properties of calcium grease by adding CNTs and GNS, the results show that by adding the nano additives the wear and friction reduction reduced and the EP increased. Wu et al (2017) studied the tribological behavior of TiO 2 nano-additive water-based lubricants, the result shows that the 0.8 Wt.% TiO 2 lubricant gives excellent tribological properties including the lowest coefficient of friction (COF) and the strongest wear resistance under all lubrication conditions.…”

“…Although emphasis has been placed on MoS 2 polymorphs, interesting tribological properties have also been reported for other MoS x -based coatings, such as those based on aforementioned Mo 3 S 4 [ 18 ]. These materials may pose an alternative to other nanostructure lubricants [ 19 , 20 , 21 ], in particular to those based on graphene [ 22 , 23 , 24 , 25 , 26 , 27 , 28 ].…”
