This study evaluates the effect of earthquake and tsunami loads on structural behavior of reinforced concrete building with varying heights. The purpose of this study is to evaluates the level of resilience of building structures that are designed to withstand earthquake loads when loaded by tsunami loads. Building structure behavior is evaluated based on the amount of internal forces, displacements and drift ratio. In making models of building structures with varying heights where the plans are planned on their own. The building structure model is planned to be resistant to earthquake loads where the evaluation is carried out on the comparison of static earthquake loads with dynamic earthquake loads and the drift ratio between building floors meets the limits permitted by SNI-1726-2012. Furthermore, the same structural model is loaded with tsunami loads which refers to FEMA P646 in 2012. The magnitude of the planned tsunami load is adjusted to the building height variations, which are buildings 3, 5 and 7 floors. The loading done on the building is earthquake load, combination tsunami load 1 (T1) and combination tsunami load 2 (T2). The results are obtained in the 3-story building structure, the drift ratio due to earthquake load, T1 and T2 still meet the inter-floor permit drift ratio. The maximum drift ratio value on the first floor of a 3-storey building structure due to earthquake loads, T1 and T2 are 0.75%, 0.52% and 1.01%, respectively, which are all smaller than the limits of the drift ratio of buildings categorized as risk IV which is 1%. In the structure of buildings 5 and 7 floors, the value of the drift ratio on the first floor due to earthquake load still meets the requirements (<1%), but conversely due to the load of T1 and T2 at the same floor level, the drift ratio of 5-storey buildings is respectively 1, 44% and 2.13%, while in the 7-story building respectively 2.88% and 4.67%. These results indicate that the 5-story and 7-story building structures are unable to withstand lateral forces due to the planned tsunami load (T1 and T2).

Salah satu upaya untuk mendorong Bali Kembali dalam era normal baru pasca pandemi Covid-19 yaitu menekan disrupsi dari bencana, diantaranya ancaman gempa dan tsunami. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memutakhirkan pemodelan bahaya tsunami, mengevaluasi tempat dan jalur evakuasi, menggali sejauh mana masyarakat dan wisatawan memahami informasi peringatan tsunami dari BMKG dan BNPB, dan perintah evakuasi dari BPBD. Melalui penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan manfaat bagi sektor kesehatan, pariwisata, ekonomi dan sosial budaya secara langsung kepada masyarakat di Provinsi Bali. Penelitian ini meliputi delapan tahap yaitu, 1) identifikasi sumber dan bahaya gempa pemicu tsunami; 2) identifikasi parameter sumber gempa; 3) pemodelan tsunami; 4) survei lapangan; 5) analisis data eksposur; 6) network analysis closest facility, 7) gap analysis, dan 8) analisis pemahaman masyarakat terhadap tsunami dan evakuasi mandiri. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa seluruh area Tanjung Benoa memiliki potensi terdampak tsunami. Estimasi tinggi tsunami di sisi Timur berkisar 10-14 m, estimasi tinggi tsunami di sisi Barat berkisar 6-10 m dan estimasi waktu tiba tsunami berkisar 20-25 menit. Hasil penelitian ini mengindikasikan bahwa perlu mempertimbangkan untuk amendemen Peraturan Gubernur, terkait estimasi waktu kedatangan tsunami, yang tertulis 30 menit. Saat ini terdapat 8 hotel terdistribusi di sepanjang pantai sisi timur sebagai tempat evakuasi, yang hanya dapat menampung setengah penduduk di luar jumlah wisatawan. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya penambahan tempat evakuasi di wilayah Tanjung Benoa dengan tinggi minimal 20 meter. Mengingat peraturan batas tinggi bangunan di wilayah Bali, maka direkomendasikan adanya pengecualian untuk kasus ini, dan bisa dipertimbangkan adanya Pura di bagian atas dari tempat evakuasi.

Various kinds of shocks can influence tourism demand cycles. However, previous studies have typically concentrated within economic frameworks in explaining variations of tourism demand cycles, ignoring the possibility of different shocks influencing tourism demand cycles. This paper analyses various shocks in explaining the variation of tourism demand cycles to Bali on different source market countries. Monthly tourist arrivals data from January 2002 to January 2020 are decomposed into cyclical and irregular components. The cyclical patterns represent tourism demand cycles, and shock events are represented by irregular component patterns of international tourist arrivals data series. This study employs an unobserved component model (UCM) procedure to decompose the data, unit root tests to examine data stationarity, and logistic regression to analyse the relationship between shock effects on tourism demand cycles. The unit root test result indicates that shock effects on tourism demand cycles are not permanent. However, the persistence and magnitude of shock effects vary between source market countries. Shock effects could be persistent and influence the negative phase of the cycles for several countries. The persistence and magnitude of shock effects are the highest for tourist arrivals from the United States, India, and Germany. The results provide theoretical and managerial implications.
