“…Over 70% of patients presenting with adenoid cystic carcinoma of the salivary glands survive over five years from their original presentation and there is no apparent difference between tumours arising in major or minor accessory glands (Conley and Dingman, 1974). In Naunton Morgan and Mackenzie's (1968) smaller series the survival rates were even better: an over 77% five-vear survival was present and 80% of patients with tumours of their palate survived more than five years. Similar figures are reported in Eneroth's (1970) larger series.…”
