Tuning the luminescence performance of CdO nanoparticles via Tb2O3 inclusion

Abstract: The strategy of this work is mainly concentrated on tuning the performance of CdO nanoparticles (NPs) via Tb2O3 addition. Precipitation method is utilized for the NPs synthesis, where Tb2O3 concentrations were 0%, 5%, 10% and 15%. The prepared samples are examined using different analytical techniques. SEM and TEM results showed that Tb2O3 acted as passivation agent for the growth of CdO NPs and annulled particles agglomeration. There is a harmony in crystallites size calculated from XRD and TEM (47–55 nm), wh… Show more

“…The adsorption methods are exceptional because they are easy to implement, inexpensive, and very successful at removing organic dyes. [2,12,[14][15][16][17][18][19][20] An approach that can be adjusted for improved efficiency, this method entails physically or chemically attaching dye molecules to the surface of a solid substance. Although there has been a lot of research on photocatalysis using semiconductor materials capabilities to convert solar energy into usable form for degrading pollutants, this study presents a new strategy by putting dark adsorption ahead of sunlightassisted photocatalysis.…”

“…Adsorption, photocatalysis, and biological approaches are among the many that have been investigated. The adsorption methods are exceptional because they are easy to implement, inexpensive, and very successful at removing organic dyes [2,12,14–20] . An approach that can be adjusted for improved efficiency, this method entails physically or chemically attaching dye molecules to the surface of a solid substance.…”

“…These particles would have the qualities of both nanoparticles at the same time while preserving their distinct traits. There have been numerous reports of these composites performing admirably when combined with their distinct states (Abu-Dief et al 2020, Abu-Dief et al 2021, Awad, Abu-Dief 2022, Alahmadi et al 2023. Complementary applications of multiple pharmaceuticals are widespread in the medical sector, where two distinct drugs fail to provide the desired effect when used separately, but have significant benefits when used together (Hurwitz et al 2004).…”
