Turunkus Arteriozus Tip I Tanısı Alan Bir Yenidoğanın Yoğun Bakım Serüveni: Olgu Sunumu

Abstract

Truncus arteriosus is a rare heart anomaly that requires surgical treatment and postoperative care. In this anomaly, a single main vein (arterial trunk) from the heart provides systemic, pulmonary, and coronary artery circulation. In this article, a case report of a newborn patient who was operated with the diagnosis of truncus arteriosus type 1 and given individualized developmental care in the newborn intensive care unit from the 12th postop day. Diagnosis and interventions related to nursing care applied in this process were tabulated. This case report is thought to guide the nursing care of newborns with congenital heart defects who were treated and cared for in newborn intensive care units during the postoperative period.
