Two endodontics techniques analysis in primary molars with fistula

Abstract: Objective The purpose of this research was to follow the radiolucent area (pixels) in the furcation area and the behavior of the endodontically treated deciduous molars with different simplified echniques. MethodsThe treatments were performed without the duct instrumentation using relative isolation and two drugs were applied, as follows: G1: GuedesPinto paste (GP) was used and for comparison of the initial radiographic image, analysis of variance was used after 6 and 12 months of each group and Tukey spost… Show more

“…In clinical practice, the use of CTZ paste in necrotic primary molars showed promising clinical and radiographic results [6]. In most of the studies, CTZ is used in a 1:1:2 ratio, 25% of chloramphenicol, 25% of tetracycline and 50% of zinc oxide, mixed with Eugenol [1,[5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12].…”

“…Public Health Services lack simplified treatment protocols that can be performed by general practitioners, reducing the demand for certain dental treatments. 8 Currently, in many healthcare systems, primary teeth do not receive endodontic treatment due to complexity of the technique. 31 Failure to treat a primary tooth with irreversible pulpitis or pulp necrosis can damage the permanent successor and negatively impact the child's oral health and quality of life.…”

“…7 Some important advantages of the CTZ paste technique is that it does not require rubber dam isolation of operative field, instrumentation, and root canal obturation. 2,7,8 A non-instrumental endodontic treatment (NIET), also known as lesion sterilization and tissue repair (LSTR), aims to repair damaged tissues by disinfecting affected pulp and periapical regions with a mixture of antibiotics. 9 These characteristics reduce the clinical time of therapy, and hence, it is more favorable for pediatric dental care, specifically in the public service and for patients with difficult management.…”
