Two guest complexation modes in a cyclotriveratrylene-based molecular container

Abstract: We report the synthesis of a cyclotriveratrylene-based molecular container and its distinctly different modes of complexation with dimethyldiazapyrenium and 4,4'-biphenylbisdiazonium ions.
