This study presents a new design of a triple band-notched ultra-wideband antenna. The designed structure of the antenna is based on two radiating strips, and a microstrip feed-line on the front, an inverted T-shaped element and a partial ground on the back. By etching a slot off the ground plane, another resonance is excited resulting in the extended bandwidth. The antenna with new structure occupies a small size of 20 × 14 mm 2 . The measured results show that the antenna has a wide bandwidth from 2.8 to 12.5 GHz for voltage standing wave ratio less than 2 apart from the rejected bands from 3.0 to 3.8 GHz, 5.1 to 6.1 GHz and 7.8 to 8.9 GHz. Meanwhile, radiation patterns and gain at various frequencies have been given.

Abstract-This paper presents a new rectangle-slot antenna for ultra wideband applications with 3.5/5.5 GHz dual stop-band characteristics. The antenna contains a simple square radiating patch and a rectangle-slot ground plane, which provides a wide bandwidth from 2.6 GHz up to 14.1 GHz. In order to obtain dual stop-band properties at 3.5 and 5.5 GHz, a rectangular-shaped slot is etched off the ground plane, and a strip line ended up a shorting pin is applied, respectively. The antenna is simple in configuration and has a compact dimension of 20×22 mm 2 . The proposed antenna is designed, simulated and fabricated. The measured results exhibit a acceptable agreement with the simulated data. The antenna provides nearly omnidirectional radiation patterns, relatively flat gain over the entire UWB frequency excluding the two stop bands.

Abstract-A new antenna structure comprising a semicircular microstrip patch alongside a small rectangular shape ground proximity fed by a microstrip line is proposed. On a thin substrate this antenna achieves in the range of 5.8-12.9 GHz an impedance bandwidth of almost 75%. Details of the antenna design, simulation and measured results on the return loss and the E and H -plane radiation pattern of the proposed antenna are presented.
