Ultrahigh Room‐Temperature Photoluminescence from Few to Single Quintuple Layer Bi2Te3 Nanosheets

Abstract: photoluminescence is considered as one of the primary figures of merit for a 2D semiconductor to be a promising material for nano-optoelectronic, [10,11] sensing, [12,13] and photodetector applications. [14,15] Therefore, it remains challenging to achieve substantial room-temperature photoluminescence response from Bi 2 Te 3 nanocrystals. Additionally, surface plasmon resonance (SPR) defines collective oscillations of conduction electrons and has been attracting highly devoted research interest owing to its pr… Show more

“…The classical Raman shift of Bi2Te3 is shown in bottom panel of Fig. 3l, which revealed four Raman peaks at 62.7, 93.4, 124.1 and 140.3 cm -1 corresponding to 1 1 , 2 , 1 , and 1 2 of Bi2Te3 38 , respectively. As compared to Bi2Te3, the Raman spectrum of Bi2O2Te (top panel of Fig.…”

“…XRD patterns indicate that the increase in tin sulfide leads to the improvement of the film's growth in the favored orientation. For surface morphology and compositional analyses, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energydispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) are used [25][26][27][28] . The SEM images of the samples are shown in Figure 3.…”
