Ultraviolet Radiation Albedo of Natural Surfaces/Natūralių Paviršių Ultravioletinės Spinduliuotės Albedas/Альбедо Ультрафиолетового Излучения Натуральных Поверхностей

Abstract: Abstract. This article presents measurement results of intensity of solar UVA and UVB radiation, as well as UV radiation albedo from various surfaces. The intensity of albedo was measured from natural surfaces, such as: sand, grass, water, and snow. The paper also presents measurements of solar emitted UVA and UVB radiation intensity in the shadow. Ultraviolet radiation intensity and surface albedo was measured using a handy UVA radiation radiometer UVA -365HA, with spectral response of 320-390 nm and a handy … Show more

“…The radiation of shorter waves, namely, from 280 up to 315 nm, is called UVB; it damages the main nucleus of human life -desoxyribonucleic acid (DNA). UVB radiation being hazardous to living beings occupies the smallest part of the spectrum, from 280 up to 315 nm (ES 2006/25/EC, Chadyšienė andGirgždys 2008). UVC radiation is completely absorbed in the stratosphere.…”

“…35) Thus, the reliability in UV light reflected from the ground is important for the transparent backsheet in snowy areas since the albedo in the UV region is higher than that in other locations. 36) For the bifacial module installed at Hokuto, no output degradation has been observed during 3 years of operation. Furthermore, no defects such as cracks and color changes in the transparent backsheet have been observed as shown in Fig.…”
