“…The aim of the PRME is to create and promote some new ideas of responsible management education that can nurture responsible future leaders to foster global sustainable development (Henderson & Wilson, 2023). To achieve this goal, the PRME provides effective solutions for educators to shape future leaders with knowledge and skills by leveraging the educational characteristics of higher education institutions (Buono et al, 2015). Therefore, although the PRME's introduction primarily targets educational or academic institutions and is closely related to cultivating sustainable student leadership, teachers play a crucial role in successful implementation as the link between organisations and students (Kalsoom & Qureshi, 2021).…”

This was attributed to the level of pressure from investors, NGOs and civil society on organizations to adopt sustainable environmental practices (Buono et al, 2015). It is worth noting that the performance was strong in Japan as a result of adopting the ISO 14001 standards for environmental management systems on a large scale, with strong support from the government in an effort to reassure customers and avoid losing the export sectors in the face of international companies that adhere to these standards (Gammeltoft-Hansen et al, 2017).…”

“…Os SIPs são ao mesmo tempo ferramentas de comunicação e transparência (Buono et al, 2015), compartilhando boas práticas, feedback aos stakeholders e recurso de aprendizagem organizacional coletiva entre os signatários (Sobczak & Mukhi, 2016), no entanto, o SIP como ferramenta de comunicação ainda pode ser melhorada (Hervieux et al, 2017).…”
