“…Similar to that of the very loose sample, the initial peak for the medium loose samples (except the sample with n = 0.405 under UPS) is followed by a gradual decrease with further straining until a "steady" state is obtained. Such a "steady" state is, however, only temporary for the medium loose samples, called quasi-steady state [16], and with further straining the deviatoric stress goes up again.
