“…With more than 300 reviews on survivorship interventions, there is no shortage of high-level evidence to improve outcomes for survivors of breast cancer but the continuing unmet needs of breast cancer survivors suggest a translation gap between published evidence and clinical practice. 5 , 29 Our research provides several insights into potential contributors to the evidence-implementation gap, including (1) lack of evidence for some domains, and (2) lack of focus on outcomes critical to implementation (ie, health care utilization and costs). Future research on interventions for breast cancer survivors should aim to fill identified gaps, 30 be informed by survivor needs/priorities, 16 and integrate implementation science methodology into the research design.…”

“… 10 , 11 Studies have shown that the majority of patients with cancer have unmet needs in physical, psychological, and informational dimensions. 12 , 13 Medium to high-level unmet supportive care needs have been identified in Iranian cancer survivors. In general, the majority of the unmet supportive care needs have been demonstrated in the health and information as well as psychological and social support domains.…”

“…For this reason, the development of multidisciplinary evidence-based care during the post-treatment phase is a key area of cancer research. Over the last few years, the psychosocial and cultural origin of chronic stress has been investigated as risk factor for BC development and recurrence, as well as the unmet needs of BC survivors [ 37 , 41 , 46 , 47 ] leading to development of novel therapeutic approaches, based on integration of medical and psychological needs [ 37 , 48 ].…”
