Abstract: Background: The S100 calcium-binding protein A4 (S100A4) and the accumulation of [18F]-fluoro-2-deoxy-D-glucose (FDG) in noncancerous interstitial pneumonia (IP) area are predictors of postoperative acute exacerbation (AE) of IP after pulmonary resection for lung cancer with IP.
