Using the ADDIE Model of Instructional Design to Teach Chest Radiograph Interpretation

Abstract: Interpreting basic chest radiographs is an important skill for internal medicine residents to help them adequately diagnose and manage respiratory diseases. Educators need tools to ensure that they take a systematic approach when creating a curriculum to teach this, as well as other skills, knowledge, or attitudes. Using an instructional design model helps educators accomplish this task by giving them a guide they can follow to ensure that the curriculum meets the needs of the learners. Using the creation of a… Show more

“…While it may seem to be eminence-based and historically rooted in instructional theory, its usefulness in developing education and training programmes is still evident in the 21st century [34][35][36][37]. Using the five phases of ADDIE, we have constructed relevant learning materials for a polytechnic biomedical science programme that percolated with the concept of precision medicine.…”

“…The first step in developing this research is analyzing the system requirement. This step basically identifies the problems that lead to the gap between the performance standard of the learning objectives of the Antenna and Propagation course and that achieved by current learning process [8,9]. The result of the need analysis directs to the development of learning product where the automatic antenna radiation pattern measurement system is part of it.…”

“…The subject of this study is the grade VII junior high school students 1 Jetis, Yogyakarta. During the process of each phase, it is important to remember that movements from stage one to the next are not exclusively linear [23 ]. Samples were taken from class VII B by involving teachers, students, material experts and media experts.…”
