UTAUT2 Based Predictions of Factors Influencing the Technology Acceptance of Phablets by DNP

Abstract: The smart mobile devices have emerged during the past decade and have become one of the most dominant consumer electronic products. Therefore, exploring and understanding the factors which can influence the acceptance of novel mobile technology have become the essential task for the vendors and distributors of mobile devices. The Phablets, integrated smart devices combining the functionality and characteristics of both tablet PCs and smart phones, have gradually become possible alternatives for smart phones. T… Show more

“…Because of the small number of qualified respondents, the "expert opinion"-driven DEMATEL method, which requires a limited number of respondents, was employed in the current study. Unlike the traditional statistical approaches that explore cause-and-effect relationship among variables normally require a minimum sample size of 200 to provide sufficient statistical strength for data analysis [117], the expert opinion-driven MCDM approaches, such as DEMATEL, require only a minimum sample size of six [118,119]. In most studies using the DEMATEL method, the average sample size ranged between 10-15 experts [115,118,[120][121][122].…”

“…The flowchart of the decision-making framework is illustrated in Figure 1. This hybrid MCDM model have been used to resolve various selection problems such as brand evaluation (Wang & Tzeng, 2012), smartphone technology acceptance (Huang & Kao, 2015), materials for engineering designs (Liu, You, Zhen, & Fan, 2014), the service selection in three dimensional printing industry (Liao, Wu, Huang, Kao, & Lee, 2014), low carbon suppliers (C. W. Hsu, Kuo, Shyu, & Chen, 2014), and RFID technology evaluation and selection (Lu, Lin, & Tzeng, 2013). Natural Disaster (a1) (Snedaker, 2013) Appropriate DR site should minimize influences by natural disasters.…”
